Into Post: How I plan to get my WLE: Oct 26th

The type of internship I am looking for are art related internships. I really like art so thats why I think it would be a good idea to find something art related.  So far I went to San Francisco and went to a couple art museums to see if i would be able to intern there. I also filled out a couple of applications for the museums and for a library in San Leandro. My next steps are to call the people i sent applications in asking if they would still be willing to have me as an intern. If they don't want anyone as an intern then I will try to find other opportunities for WLE. In order to find a WLE you have to use resourceful problem solving, critical thinking, effective communication, and effective project management.  you use resourceful problem solving when you are trying to find the internship because you need to find the information of their site and how you will be able to effectively communicate with them. you use critical thinking because when you are looking for an internship, you have to find out what you re interested in and what you will want to do for the time of your WLE. you also need effective project management because you need to make a schedual to see when you can go in for an interview and

The people who benefit from my workplace are kids that are in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. This helps them bring out their creative ides and allows them to be themselves and to show that in their artwork. Also this helps them find their passion in what they like to do. For example art or all of the different types of technology.  Some strengths of my workplace is that there are a lot of materials and a lot of different choices of what you can do and it really gives you the freedom of doing what you want to learn and to do. Some of the weaknesses are that the materials that are provided are expensive and this could be bad in ways because if you break or use up a material then you have to go buy new ones to replace them which could be costly. 

Post 7: How my WLE project going

This week I was examining which modules were attractive to the kids and why they were attractive. After taking notes on these specific details i tried figuring out what i can do to the less attractive modules to make kids want to use them more. Its really hard to explain what i am ding for my WLE project so ill sum it up for you. Im pretty much just redesigning a project for the kids so that they will want to do that project more than the others. I pretty much have everything under control so far. Im just planning out what i will do and then once Im done planning and actually finished with everything then i will try to put it into action. Im still behind on my hours but i will get caught up because i am going in for longer and i will be going in on Wednesdays too.

Post 8: Looking at other people's blogs

I feel like i am learning less in my internship than other peoples because i feel like my field is a lot different than others. I read Karen's, Lesly's, yessica's, madylin's, and mari's, blogs. All of their writing is impressive and very good. I like how they are detailed in what they are talking about. I can make my blogs better if i write more and write more thoughtfully. It doesn't seem like many people are blogging for example me =/. I try to blog almost immediately after i get home from my WLE so that i can get credit and i wont have to worry about doing it later. I am getting excited about doing my project because i hope that the kids will enjoy what i am doing for them. All iv'e been doing is writing out the plans on how to do the project and making sure that it will all be possible. I will present my mentor my project to see if it will be able to be inserted into her class.
